Requirements

The Business of the Year Award recognizes outstanding businesses that have been operating for a minimum of three years as of September 1, 2023. These businesses have consistently displayed exceptional performance in various areas, including leadership, innovation, management, marketing, and customer service. Not only do they provide high-quality products or services, but they also serve as inspiring corporate citizens in the community.

Non-profit organizations are not eligible for this award.

Must be in operation for more than three years as of September 1, 2023.

To be considered for the Business of the Year Award, a business must meet the following criteria:

• Civic and Community Leadership: The business exemplifies a leadership role in the civic community and demonstrates a positive economic and/or social impact on the region. It actively participates in community initiatives, contributes to local causes, and supports community development.
• Business Excellence: The business exhibits excellence in overall operations, showcasing efficiency, effectiveness, and best practices. It may demonstrate innovations in service, products, or technology, staying ahead of the competition and adapting to changing market demands.
• Management and Employee Relations: The business is a leader in fostering positive management and employee relations. It prioritizes employee training and development, ensuring that its workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. The business cultivates a supportive work environment that encourages employee growth and engagement.
