🌟 Have you had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional hospitality and adventure at a restaurant, hotel, or venue? *Business must be in operation a minimum of 2 years as of Sept 1, 2023. *Non Profit ineligible for this award.

Requirements

The Hospitality Excellence Award recognizes businesses in the South Okanagan Region that actively contribute to the development of the local hospitality and tourism industry while enhancing the overall visitor experience. These businesses play a vital role in making the region a preferred destination and contribute to its growth and prosperity. The award emphasizes the importance of friendly, generous reception, and entertainment of guests and visitors.

Businesses eligible for this award include accommodations (including campgrounds), restaurants and cafes, adventure and recreation providers, wineries, breweries, cideries, distilleries, attractions, tour companies, and family-friendly activities.

Non-profit organizations are not eligible for this award.

Must be in operation a minimum of two years as of September 1, 2023.

To be eligible for the Hospitality Excellence Award, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • Positive Feedback and Reviews: The business consistently receives positive feedback and reviews from customers through their own channels and third-party media. These testimonials highlight the exceptional hospitality and customer experience provided by the business while taking steps to build a positive destination reputation for the business and for Penticton.
  • Collaboration with Industry Partners: The business actively collaborates with other industry partners to enhance the overall customer experience. By working together, they contribute to the vision of Penticton as a preferred destination city, creating a cohesive and memorable experience for visitors.
  • Community Impact: The business significantly impacts the economic, environmental, social, positive visitor sentiment and cultural aspects of their community. They contribute to the local economy, support sustainable practices, engage in community initiatives, and promote the region's unique cultural heritage.
  • Adaptability and Creativity: The business demonstrates resilience and adaptability in overcoming industry challenges. They find positive and creative solutions to navigate changes and maintain high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
