Requirements

The Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes a business professional who has achieved success not only in their business endeavors but also stands out for their creativity, community involvement, and entrepreneurial spirit.

This award honours individuals aged 40 years or younger as of September 1, 2023, who have been actively engaged in business or management for more than two years.

Self-nominations are not accepted, and individuals seeking nomination should consult their mentors or community leaders.

To be considered for the Young Professional of the Year Award, the individual must meet the following criteria:

• Future Business Leader: This individual represents the next generation of business leaders and demonstrates potential, drive, and a clear vision for success in contributing to the future growth and prosperity of Penticton.
• Positive Impact: This individual has made a positive impact on the region's economy and/or society. Their business ventures, innovative ideas, or initiatives have contributed to local economic growth, job creation, or enhanced social well-being.
• Community Engagement: This individual actively participates in community initiatives and serves as a positive role model. They contribute to community-building efforts, support local causes, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
